Three things I love: pink, the Roaring Twenties, and vacation. Combine these three and you get the Don CeSar, the Boca Raton, the Chesterfield, the Royal Hawaiian, and the Vinoy Renaissance Resort. Although pink palaces of Mediterranean design were extremely fashionable in the 1920s—Chicago even had its own pink hotel (the Edgewater Beach Hotel)—these are no shabby remnants from the past. All of the hotels listed have undergone millions of dollars in restoration; they still retain a Gatsbyesque grandeur, but they are now equipped with modern, world-class amenities.

Lavish Nuptials
Newly engaged and planning a wedding? Congratulations! We are thrilled for you and went on the hunt for a luxe location for you and your 200 guests. Located on a four-acre historic property just outside Naperville, The Farmhouse has plenty of indoor and outdoor space, along with a sprawling layout. On the property, is the oldest house in Plainfield, called the Little House, which dates to the 1840s, and can be used as a space for the bar and to display the wedding cake.

Aero Estates Living
While driving in bumper-to-bumper traffic down Route 59 or walking the dog through Springbrook Prairie, you may have wondered about the planes going in and out at Aero Estates—the subdivision located a block east of Route 59 between 79th and 83rd Streets. If you looked closer, you probably noticed that not only do they have garages, but hangars with a landing strip in their backyards and access to their own airport!
